The Story

The word "Keezy"
has been a part of our vocabulary 

here in the Florida Keys
for as long as we can remember.

You will hear people saying it

 from time to time,

"that's so Keezy!" or "have a Keezy day!

It refers to all the little things 

that make our lives unique 

here in the Florida Keys.

The beautiful Caribbean 

colors of the water!

Driving across all the bridges

from island to island.

Lobster balls as yard decorations.

Diving the coral reef 

any day of the week.

Fishing tournaments

Seafood festivals

Art festivals

Chickens, 

oh man do we

 love our chickens!

Not knowing the time of the day, 

or even the day of the week 

for all that matters.

"Keezy Life" 

is just the embodiment

 of all those things 

together! 

The brand Keezy Life was born in the waters of Key West.  

  What started out as a simple trip to the deserted island of Boca Grande Key,

on a charter boat called "Easy Day",

 ended with an idea that would become Keezy Life.   

While relaxing in the water with the passengers, 

Capt. Kenny overheard a passenger say,

 "An easy day in the Florida Keys"

at which he responded,

 "That is what we call a Keezy Day!" 

Keezy Day later became our Trademarked charter service.

... a non-rushed, anything you want trip on the water.  

You get the boat and the experienced captain for the whole day.

Capt. Kenny made a hogfish and lobster dive decal that said "Keezy Day" on the tail,

and gave them to the little passengers as souvenirs.

Around this time, "Salt Life" started to become a popular brand.

So, it was decided to rebrand the dive decals to "Keezy Life", 

and come up with new characters to offer to the world.

Trademarks were filed, Copyrights were sent it, and websites were made.

The original 8 decals were introduced in the spring of 2018, 

some 13 years after the charter name Keezy Day 

was first thought of.

Unfortunately, in the spring of 2017, Capt. Kenny was struck by a car

 while riding his bicycle to a charter one morning.  

Faced with the need for 4 spinal surgeries and a shoulder surgery, 

the future of the Keezy Life brand became uncertain! 

Unable to drive the boats, and unable to do work on the computer,

Capt. Kenny decided to embark on a journey to recovery.

The decision to sell the charter boats and let Keezy Life grow organically was made.

Traveling more than 50,000 miles by air and land, from one coast to the other, 

Capt. Kenny visited and hiked most of the National Parks.

Spending weeks and sometimes months at some of the most amazing places in America,

 Capt. Kenny still missed the place he called home his entire adult life.

It was the fact that Keezy Life had indeed started to grow organically 

though out the Florida Keys that led to Capt. Kenny returning to 

the one place he calls home.

 Although not healed, the surgeons and medical staff told Capt. Kenny 

in the summer of 2021 that they can no longer recommend surgery 

as an answer but only as an alternative. So, it was time to finally head home to the Florida Keys!

In January of 2022, Capt. Kenny finally returned to his islands that he loved so much. 

Passionate about spearfishing and his love for the ocean, it was only natural to start 

making more dive characters.

By the end of March there were 22 dive characters ready to be released to the world.

So, on April 1 of 2022, the new premium dive decals started hitting the shelves of all our dedicated retailers.

We hope to continue to expand our Brand with more products and of course more dive characters.
